Easton Town Center opened on the northeast side of Columbus in 1999 and has grown into roughly 90 acres of shops, restaurants, hotels and the enclosed Station Building with its big multiplex. On a busy Saturday that adds up to a sea of parked cars, and a few of them won't start when their owners come back with shopping bags. Auto Lyft USA handles Easton towing and roadside calls at any hour, dispatching from our flatbed yard on Harrisburg Pike.
Most trouble here turns out to be minor. A battery quits after a long movie on a cold night, a key fob ends up on the front seat of a locked car, or a tire picks up a screw somewhere along Morse Road and is flat by the time dinner is over. Those are roadside jobs at our $75 flat rate plus mileage, and the driver usually handles them right where you parked.
When the car really won't go, it rides out on a flatbed to wherever you choose: your driveway, your dealer, or an independent shop. We are not a repair shop ourselves, so the decision about where it goes stays with you. The dispatcher gives you a live arrival estimate and a price before anyone leaves the yard.
Dead batteries and lockouts in Easton's decks and lots
Easton mixes open surface lots with multi-level parking structures, and the right approach depends on which one you are standing in. In an open lot a jump-start is quick: the driver pulls alongside, connects, and checks that the car idles on its own before leaving. Inside a deck, the driver may park at the entrance and carry a portable jump pack up to your level instead.
Parking structures also limit what a tow truck can do. We don't keep a list of every Easton ceiling height, so if the deck posts a clearance sign at its entrance, read it to the dispatcher. If a flatbed can't reach your level, we talk through options with you, such as getting the car started long enough to drive it down to a spot where it can be loaded. See parking garage towing for how those jobs work.
Lockouts are handled with proper entry tools, not a coat hanger. You'll be asked to show ID that matches the car's registration once the door is open.
- Note the deck name or nearest store, the level, and the row or pillar marker.
- Tell us if the car is an AWD, an EV or sits low, since that changes how it gets loaded.
- If the battery has died twice in a month, ask about battery replacement rather than another jump.
Trouble on the way out: Morse Road, Easton Way and I-270
Plenty of Easton calls actually come from just outside the district. Drivers reach the shopping area from I-270 using the Easton Way and Morse Road exits, and alongside Easton the outerbelt is divided into separate local and express lanes. A car that overheats or loses a tire in that stretch can end up on a narrow shoulder with fast traffic beside it.
If that happens, ease onto the right shoulder, flash the hazards, and keep your seat belt fastened with the doors closed unless there's a safe patch of ground well clear of traffic. Tell the dispatcher which direction you were heading and which exit you last passed. Highway pickups carry a $75 surcharge on our rate card, and the dispatcher will say so before confirming the job.
What an Easton call costs
Our prices are published on the rates page and the same numbers apply at Easton as anywhere else. A jump, lockout, tire change or battery call is $75 flat, plus $4 per mile covering the trip out from Harrisburg Pike. A tow is $125 to hook up, $7 for each mile the car is loaded, and the same $4 en-route mileage.
Here is a made-up example to show the math. Say the drive from our yard to your spot came to 15 miles and you wanted the car taken 6 miles to a shop in Gahanna: $125 hook-up, plus $42 loaded, plus $60 en-route, for $227 before sales tax. Late-night hours (10 PM to 6 AM) add $150 and weekends add $50. If a car has to sit in our yard before your shop can take it, storage runs $45 a day. The estimate page does this arithmetic for your exact trip.
Waiting for the driver
Nobody needs to stand in a cold garage for the whole wait. Stay inside a nearby store or restaurant with your phone on, and the driver will call when they're close. Have your keys and ID ready, and if you are meeting us at the car, pick an obvious landmark such as the stairwell, an elevator lobby or a store entrance which spares the driver a lap around the lot.
Easton Town Center: what drivers ask
Do you offer Easton towing late at night after the stores close?
Yes. Dispatch runs every hour of every day, including holidays, so a car that won't start after a late movie or a closing shift still gets help. Anything dispatched from 10 PM through 6 AM picks up a $150 overnight surcharge on our rate card, and the dispatcher tells you the total before a truck leaves the yard. You can decide then whether to go ahead or wait until morning if the car is parked somewhere safe.
Can you jump my car inside an Easton parking garage?
Usually, yes. A jump-start doesn't require the truck to reach your space. If the structure is tight or the ceiling is low, the driver can leave the truck at the entrance and carry a portable jump pack to your level. Give us the level and nearest stairwell or pillar marking so the driver goes straight to you instead of searching floor by floor.
I shut my keys inside the car at Easton. What happens now?
A lockout is one of our $75 flat-rate roadside calls, plus mileage from the yard. The driver uses purpose-made entry tools to open the door without damaging the glass or weather seal. Before you take the car, you'll show ID that matches the registration or another document tying you to the vehicle. When the keys are missing altogether, the better answer is usually a flatbed ride to a dealer or locksmith.
Where will you take my car if it can't be fixed in the lot?
Anywhere you name. Most people choose home, their dealer or a shop they already use. If you don't have one, we can suggest an independent partner shop that will diagnose the problem, quote the repair and do the work with your approval. Auto Lyft USA does not repair cars itself, so we have no reason to steer you toward one place over another.
Will Easton security let a tow truck into the parking area?
We haven't had trouble reaching customers, but private property rules belong to the property owner, not us. If security approaches the driver, it helps that you are there with your keys and ID to confirm the car is yours and that you called us. For a tow inside a parking structure, the driver checks the posted clearance before entering and will not force a truck into a space it doesn't fit.
Is a flatbed really necessary for a car stuck at Easton?
Every truck in our fleet is a flatbed, so that's what you get. It matters most for all-wheel-drive cars, electric vehicles and anything with a low front bumper, because all four wheels ride on the deck instead of being dragged. Read more on our flatbed towing page about why we run only this type of carrier.
How long will I wait for help at Easton?
It depends on traffic around Morse Road and I-270, the time of day and how many calls are already running. We don't promise a fixed number of minutes. Instead, the dispatcher looks at where the trucks are when you call and gives you a live estimate, then the driver phones you when they're getting close so you can head to the car.
Do you charge extra because Easton is a shopping center?
No. There is no venue fee. You pay the same published rates as anywhere in central Ohio: the service itself, en-route mileage at $4 per mile, and any surcharge that applies for highway pickups, late hours or weekends. Veterans get 10% off with ID. Sales tax follows the county of pickup, which at Easton is Franklin.
Can you reach a car stalled on I-270 close to the Easton exits?
Yes. Tell the dispatcher your direction of travel, whether you're in the local or express lanes, and the last exit sign you passed. Highway pickups add $75 to the bill. Until the truck arrives, keep your hazards on and stay buckled in unless you can get completely clear of traffic. Injuries or a car sitting in a live lane mean 911 comes first.
