Tow Truck Service in Valleyview on the Hilltop

Valleyview is a tiny village surrounded by Columbus's West Side, and with our yard barely three miles away, it is one of the nearest places we serve.

  • Open 24/7, 365 days
  • Flatbed-only fleet
  • Price quoted before dispatch
  • Licensed & insured

Valleyview covers just a handful of residential streets on the Hilltop, a little over three miles west-northwest of our Harrisburg Pike yard. Our carriers reach it either by following Harrisburg Pike north and heading west on Broad Street, or by jumping on I-70 for a couple of exits. Because the village is fully surrounded by Columbus, many people living here are not sure which city they are in, and that is fine: give us the street and house number and we will find you.

Most calls in Valleyview are from driveways and curbs along Richardson Avenue, Valleyview Drive and the short avenues like Harris, Warren and Burgess. Typical jobs include older cars that won't crank on a frosty morning, flat tires, and vehicles that need to go to a mechanic on Broad Street or across town. The other big source is the highway: the I-70 corridor along the village's edge, where I-670 splits off toward downtown and the airport, sees frequent breakdowns and lane-change collisions that need a quick clearance.

Being this close cuts the travel portion of a Valleyview tow to almost nothing, but we still quote the full job up front. Ring (614) 633-8163 or submit a request on our online form, and if the car simply needs a boost, ask about a jump start instead of a tow.

Where calls come from

Roads we get called to in Valleyview

  • I-70 at the I-670 split

The interchange next to the village where I-670 peels away toward downtown and the airport. Drivers changing lanes at the last second make it a common crash and breakdown spot.

  • Richardson Avenue

Valleyview's main street, connecting Village Hall, Dibblee Park and the ballfield. Most of our in-village calls start somewhere along it.

  • Valleyview Drive

The through street that carries the village's name, used by drivers cutting between neighborhoods on the Hilltop.

  • West Broad Street (US-40)

The main commercial road just south of the village, with repair shops and parts stores where many Valleyview cars end up.

  • Murray Avenue and Eldon Avenue

Residential streets in the eastern part of the village where parked cars line both curbs, so the driver may winch a car out.

Landmarks

  • Valleyview Village Hall

The village offices on North Richardson Avenue, a simple reference point if you are giving directions to the driver.

  • Glenwood United Methodist Church

A church on Valleyview Drive on the west side of the village, busy on Sunday mornings when the curbs fill.

Parks

  • Dibblee Park

A small park at Dibblee and Richardson with a playground and covered picnic tables; street parking around it is limited.

  • Valleyview Baseball Field

The village ballfield at Elliott and Richardson; on game evenings the nearby curbs fill quickly.

  • Holton Park and Community Center

The city park and recreation center on North Eureka Avenue at the village's southeast corner, with a lot that sees regular jump-start calls.

  • Glenview Park

A wooded Columbus park on Glenview Boulevard with stream frontage and trail access, but no large lot for a carrier to turn around in.

Towing in Valleyview: common questions

How close is your yard to Valleyview?

Very close. Valleyview sits about three miles from our Harrisburg Pike location, so the drive is one of the shortest we make. The carrier usually comes up Harrisburg Pike and across on Broad Street, or uses I-70. Traffic on the interstate or around Broad Street can still slow things, so expect a time quoted from what the roads are doing right then rather than a promise made in advance.

Is Valleyview part of Columbus? Does that matter for a tow?

Valleyview is its own village, but it is completely surrounded by the City of Columbus. For towing it makes no difference: we serve both, the price is figured the same way and the truck comes from the same yard. Just give us your street address plus whichever corner is closest, and you will be found whether the house is inside the village line or a block outside it.

I broke down near where I-670 splits from I-70. What should I do?

That interchange has quick lane changes and heavy traffic, so stay buckled in with your hazards on rather than standing beside the car. Injuries, or a car sitting in a live lane, mean 911 is your first call. Then call (614) 633-8163 and tell us which interstate, which way you were heading and the most recent sign or exit you noticed. Police may want the car moved promptly, and our driver will work with them.

Can you tow my car to a shop on West Broad Street?

Yes. Many Valleyview residents use mechanics and parts stores along West Broad Street, and a tow there is a very short trip. Tell us the shop's name, and if nobody is there to take the keys, the car waits in our fenced lot and goes over first thing the next business day. You can also send it to a dealer or a shop anywhere in Columbus.

My car is parked on a narrow street like Harris or Warren Avenue. Can a flatbed get to it?

Yes. The village streets are tight, but the carrier can stop in the lane, put out cones and use its winch to pull the car onto the bed. If someone else's car is parked very close, the driver may need a few extra minutes to maneuver. Let us know if the car is in a back drive or behind a garage so we can plan for it.

How much does a tow from Valleyview cost?

With our yard so close, there is very little travel cost built into a Valleyview tow. The total depends mostly on where the car goes and whether it needs extra work, like winching from a tight spot or handling after a collision. No truck leaves until you have agreed to a firm number, and our rates page shows how the number is put together.

Do you buy or haul away junk cars in Valleyview?

We can remove an unwanted vehicle from a driveway or yard in the village. You will need the title or other proof of ownership, and the car should be cleared of personal items. Visit our junk car removal page to learn what to have ready, then call to arrange a pickup time that works for you.

Which nearby neighborhoods do you also cover?

All of the Hilltop and the West Side around Valleyview, plus Lincoln Village and Galloway farther west, and Marble Cliff and Grandview Heights across the river to the northeast. Because we are based on this side of Columbus, these are some of our most frequent calls, at any hour of the day or night.
