The Closest Village We Tow In: Urbancrest, Ohio
Urbancrest is the nearest town to our gate, a small village tucked between the outerbelt and Grove City with homes on one side and warehouses on the other.
- Open 24/7, 365 days
- Flatbed-only fleet
- Price quoted before dispatch
- Licensed & insured
Urbancrest is about 2.5 miles south-southwest of our yard, which makes it the closest community on our service list. Our trucks head south on Harrisburg Pike toward the outerbelt, and the village lies just west of that road. Because the drive is so short, an Urbancrest call is usually one of the easier trips for our dispatcher to fit in, even on a busy night. It also keeps the travel part of your bill small.
The village has two distinct halves. The residential side centers on First Avenue, where village hall, the Vaughn E. Hairston-South West Community Center and Martin Luther King Park sit beside one another. The industrial side spreads along Urbancrest Industrial Drive and Centerpoint Drive, where warehouse buildings, including a Best Buy facility, keep trucks and employee cars coming and going all day. The two halves are only a few blocks apart, but a driver needs to know which one you are in before setting out.
That split shows up in the calls we get: jump starts and lockouts on the residential streets, and no-starts or flat tires in warehouse lots once a shift lets out. Company vehicles from those buildings can be covered under our fleet towing service. Day or night, call (614) 633-8163 for a quote.
Where calls come from
Roads we get called to in Urbancrest
First Avenue
The village's civic street, with village hall, the community center and MLK Park; event days fill the parking near the center.
Urbancrest Industrial Drive
The warehouse corridor. Give the building number, since several facilities share a similar look from the road.
Augustus Drive
A short connector between First Avenue and Urbancrest Industrial Drive, passing Mayors Park Pavilion.
Centerpoint Drive
A business street across the village's northern section, where employee lots see shift-change traffic.
I-270
The outerbelt passes close by, so a car that quits on the nearby ramps is only a short hop for our drivers.

Our own street and the direct route from the yard to the village.

Towing in Urbancrest: common questions
How close is your yard to Urbancrest?
Very close. Our yard at 1620 Harrisburg Pike is about 2.5 miles from the village in a straight line, and the drive is a short run down our own street. That makes Urbancrest one of the easiest places for us to reach. The dispatcher still gives you a live arrival estimate based on where the nearest truck is at that moment, since a carrier may be out on another job when you call.
My job on Urbancrest Industrial Drive has a Grove City address. Is that in your area?
Yes. Several buildings in Urbancrest's industrial section use Grove City mailing addresses, the Best Buy facility among them. Give the street address and company name exactly as written, and the driver will find it. Mention the dock, door or row of the lot where you parked, and whether a guard shack or gate sits between the street and your car.
Can you jump my car at the community center on First Avenue?
Yes. The South West Community Center lot is an easy place for us to work. Tell us roughly where you parked, and the driver will boost the battery and check that the charging system is doing its job before leaving. Our jump start page covers what to expect. Have the hood release handy and your keys out of the ignition.
Do you tow for the warehouses on Centerpoint Drive?
Yes. We move employees' personal cars and any company vehicle that fits on a light-duty flatbed: cars, SUVs, pickups and most vans. Businesses can open an account so their drivers call us directly. If a vehicle is too large for our carriers, the dispatcher will say so before anything is scheduled.
Is there anything about Urbancrest that makes a tow harder?
Not much, since the village is compact. The main things to flag are event days at MLK Park or Mayors Park Pavilion, when cars line the streets, and shift change on the industrial side, when lots and driveways get busy. Mention either when you call and the driver will plan the approach, perhaps coming in from Augustus Drive instead of First Avenue.
Can you remove unauthorized cars from a lot in Urbancrest?
Property owners and managers in the village, whether an apartment building or a warehouse lot on Urbancrest Industrial Drive, can arrange private property towing with us. The lot needs the proper tow-away signs posted first, and we set up a written agreement with the owner before removing any vehicle. Call the office rather than dispatch to start that conversation.
Is a tow from Urbancrest cheaper because you are so close?
The part of the price that covers reaching you is small, because the drive is short. What you pay overall depends mostly on where the car is going and whether the job needs extra work. You will hear the full number before the truck leaves, and it does not grow once the driver is on site unless the job changes. Read how our rates work.
Can you take my car from Urbancrest to a shop in Grove City or Columbus?
Yes, either one. Grove City shops are just to the south and the Columbus neighborhoods along Harrisburg Pike are just to the north, so most Urbancrest tows are short in both directions. You pick the destination, and the car rides there on the flatbed. If the shop has not opened yet, the car can stay with us on Harrisburg Pike until it does.
Which nearby places do you also serve?
All of them. Grove City borders Urbancrest to the south, Harrisburg is farther down US-62, and neighborhoods such as Lincoln Village and Valleyview lie to the north. A truck working in any of those spots can usually be pointed toward the village without much delay, and we tow in the other direction just as often when an Urbancrest car needs a shop elsewhere.
