Harrisburg is about 10.1 miles southwest of our yard, and the route could hardly be simpler: Harrisburg Pike, which is US-62, south through Grove City and on into open farm country until it reaches the village. Along the way it carries SR-3 as well and crosses SR-665, London-Groveport Road, north of town. Drivers coming off I-71 use exit 94, which is signed for Harrisburg.
Harrisburg is a village of a few streets built around High Street, where the village hall, the community center and the library stand within a block of each other. Its limits cross the border between Franklin and Pickaway counties inside Pleasant Township, with the Big Darby Creek valley and parcels of Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park off to the north. Most calls here come from homes on streets like Chenoweth, Springlawn and Hillside, or from cars that gave out along US-62 between Harrisburg and Grove City.
Out here the roads are two-lane and dark after sunset, and a car that drifts onto a soft shoulder can sink fast. Each of our flatbeds carries a winch for exactly that, and the driver brings lights and reflective gear for a roadside job in the dark. If the car is drivable once it is back on firm ground, there may be no tow at all. For a quote and an arrival estimate, call (614) 633-8163.

Towing in Harrisburg: common questions
Is Harrisburg really straight down your road?
Yes. The road outside our gate at 1620 Harrisburg Pike is US-62, and it runs southwest through Grove City and on to the village. The straight-line distance is about 10.1 miles, so a driver can reach you without touching an interstate. The dispatcher still checks traffic through Grove City before giving you a live estimate.
Do you cover the Pickaway County side of Harrisburg?
Yes. The village sits on the line between Franklin and Pickaway counties, and both sides get the same service from us. Give the dispatcher the street and house number, and the driver will find you no matter which county the address falls in. If you are just outside the village, a nearby crossroad helps.
My car went off US-62 into the grass between Grove City and Harrisburg. Can you pull it out?
Probably. Every carrier we run has a winch, and a car resting in soft ground beside the road is a routine winch-out. The driver checks for damage before you drive off. If the car has gone down a steep bank or into water, say so when you call, because that changes the plan.
Can your driver find a farmhouse outside the village?
Yes, with a little help. Give the road name, the nearest crossroad and a landmark such as the SR-665 intersection, the SR-762 signal or the name on the mailbox. Rural addresses sometimes land in the wrong spot on GPS, so a phone number where the driver can reach you is useful too. Porch or yard lights left on at night make the house much easier to spot.
Do you tow from Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park lots near Harrisburg?
Yes. The park is spread out, with parcels reaching south toward Harrisburg and an Osprey Lake entrance on Harrisburg-Georgesville Road. Tell us the lot or trailhead name. Park drives can be narrow, so the driver may load your car near the lot entrance rather than deep inside. Mention whether the gate closes at dusk, since that affects timing.
Can I have my car towed to a shop in Grove City?
Of course. Grove City is right on the way back toward our yard and has plenty of repair shops along Broadway and Stringtown Road. We will take the car wherever you choose, including your own driveway, a Columbus dealer or a shop farther afield. If the shop is not open yet, the car can wait at our yard on Harrisburg Pike, which sits right on the route.
How is a Harrisburg tow priced?
The quote reflects the distance from our yard to you, the distance from you to the destination, and any winching or special handling. Harrisburg is a direct run down our own road, so travel costs stay moderate. The dispatcher gives you the full figure before sending a flatbed; our rates page explains how.
I'm stuck at night on a dark road near the village. What should I do?
Move the car clear of the pavement as far as it is safe to go, and switch on the hazard flashers. If you are unsure of your location, open the map on your phone and read the nearest crossroad or your coordinates to the dispatcher. Stay out of the travel lane while you wait, and keep your phone charged and on.
