Pick the problem
- Check-Engine Diagnostics
A glowing or flashing check-engine light needs a proper diagnosis. When the car shouldn't be driven, we flatbed it to a shop that can read and trace the fault.
- Brake Repair
Brakes that grind, pull or sink to the floor are not something to nurse across town. We carry the car on a flatbed to a shop that inspects and repairs braking systems.
- Transmission Repair
Slipping gears, harsh shifts or a car that won't move in drive usually need a specialist. We haul the vehicle on a flatbed so the gearbox isn't turning on the way.
- Electrical & Charging Repair
When a jump only buys a day, the culprit is usually the alternator, starter, wiring or a hidden drain. We get the car to a shop that can test the whole charging system.
- A/C & Heater Repair
A dead A/C in July or a cold cabin in January is more than a comfort issue when it hides a coolant leak. Here is when to drive in and when we should tow it.
- Overheating & Cooling Repair
A temperature gauge in the red means stop driving now. One of our flatbeds carries the car to a shop that can find the leak, pump or thermostat behind it.
- Tires & Alignment
A spare can't fix a bent rim, two flats at once or a car pulling hard after a pothole. We carry it on the flatbed to a shop that handles tires and alignment.
- Oil Change & Fluids
An oil change is routine. An oil-pressure light, a big leak or an engine knocking after a missed service is not, and that is when we should tow it in.
- Pre-Purchase Inspection
Before you hand over money for a used car, have a mechanic look it over. If it can't be driven, isn't registered or the seller won't drive it, we can carry it to the shop.
- Exhaust & Muffler Repair
A rumbling muffler is annoying. Exhaust fumes inside the car or a pipe dragging on the road are dangerous, and that is when we tow it to a shop that handles exhaust work.
- Suspension & Steering
Worn struts, broken springs and failing tie rods change how a car handles. When the steering feels loose or a wheel sits at an odd angle, we tow it to a shop.
- Scheduled Maintenance
Plenty of roadside breakdowns trace back to a skipped service. If your car is overdue and not fit to drive, we can take it to the shop for that work.
Waiting on the shoulder?
One call: your location, your vehicle, your destination. We price it on the spot.
How repair help works
Does Auto Lyft USA repair cars?
No. We are a towing company. When your car needs a mechanic, we tow it to the shop you choose, or, if you don't have one, to an independent partner shop near you. The shop quotes and does the repair, and you pay them for it.
Can you recommend a mechanic in Columbus?
Yes. Tell the dispatcher what is wrong and roughly where you live or work, and we can suggest a partner shop that handles that kind of repair. You are never required to use one of our suggestions.
Can the shop look at my car before I agree to anything?
Yes. Partner shops diagnose first and call you with a written estimate. Nothing is repaired until you approve it. If you decide not to repair, the car can be towed home or somewhere else; ask for the price of that second trip first.
What if the shop is closed when you arrive?
Many shops have a night-drop box for keys, and we leave the car in their lot with permission. If not, the car stays at our Harrisburg Pike yard overnight and goes over in the morning. Daily storage applies only if it stays longer; see rates.
