Towing Service for Grandview Heights and Grandview Yard

A compact city of older homes on one side and glass office towers on the other, Grandview Heights is one of the shortest drives our carriers make.

  • Open 24/7, 365 days
  • Flatbed-only fleet
  • Price quoted before dispatch
  • Licensed & insured

Grandview Heights sits about four and a half miles due north of our Harrisburg Pike lot. A driver can reach it by working up through Franklinton on surface streets or by hopping onto SR-315, which runs along the city's east side next to Grandview Yard. Either way, it is a short trip by our standards, and that keeps the travel share of a Grandview call small.

The town really has two personalities. On the older west side, Grandview Avenue and the streets around it are lined with bungalows, small storefronts and restaurants, and most of our work there is curbside: a car that won't turn over after sitting, a key locked inside outside a coffee shop, a flat on a narrow side street. Over on the east side, Grandview Yard packs offices, apartments and garage decks around the Nationwide campus, so weekday calls there tend to be no-starts on parking levels and owners who want their car hauled to a dealer while they sit through meetings. Friday and Saturday nights bring dinner crowds and tight parking to both halves.

Being so close to downtown, Goodale Boulevard and Third Avenue also funnel traffic from SR-315 and I-670 straight into town, and the merges near those ramps produce a regular share of minor wrecks. For an accident tow or anything simpler, dial (614) 633-8163 or reach us online and the price is settled before the truck rolls.

Where calls come from

Roads we get called to in Grandview Heights

  • Grandview Avenue

The historic main street with the 1927 Bank Block storefronts. Curb parking is close-packed, so the driver may winch your car out from between two others.

  • Goodale Boulevard

Runs along the south side of Grandview Yard toward SR-315. Office traffic at the start and end of the workday makes this the city's busiest stretch.

  • Third Avenue

Passes Grandview Heights High School and the Nationwide campus, and handles a lot of school pickup traffic in the afternoon.

  • SR-315 and I-670

The two highways meet at the city's east edge next to Grandview Yard. Short merge lanes on the nearby ramps are where fender-benders tend to happen.

  • West First Avenue

A residential street that is also home to the public library, with steady daytime parking demand along its curbs.

  • Fifth Avenue

The northern edge of town toward Marble Cliff and Upper Arlington, with strip retail and fast-food lots that send us jump-start calls.

Around Grandview Heights

Big employers

  • Nationwide campus at Grandview Yard

Nationwide's three-building office complex on Yard Street. Employees whose cars die in the garages can leave keys with security and let us handle the rest.

Shopping

  • Grandview Yard

A large mixed-use district on a former industrial site, with restaurants, apartments and garage parking where clearance height decides how we load.

  • Bank Block Building

One of the oldest surviving regional shopping centers in the country, on Grandview Avenue; parking in front of it is street-side only.

Schools

  • Grandview Heights High School

The Bobcats' school on West Third Avenue, serving both Grandview and Marble Cliff. Afternoon dismissal briefly clogs nearby streets.

Parks

  • McKinley Field Park

Ballfields, garden plots and a new parks building completed in 2024. Game nights fill the surrounding curbs fast.

  • Wyman Woods Park

A shaded park on Grandview Avenue that will grow once the old city building next door is cleared, so watch for changes in access.

Landmarks

  • Grandview Heights Public Library

The city's library on West First Avenue, in service since 1924; its small lot is a common spot for a quick battery boost.

  • Anderson Field

The high school stadium dating to 1938. On Friday nights in the fall, parking spills into nearby residential streets.

Towing in Grandview Heights: common questions

How long a drive is it from your yard to Grandview Heights?

It is one of our shorter runs. The center of Grandview is roughly four and a half miles north of 1620 Harrisburg Pike, reached by city streets through Franklinton or a quick hop up SR-315. Traffic around downtown and the I-670 ramps still matters, so the dispatcher checks conditions and gives you a current arrival estimate when you call.

Can a flatbed reach my car in a Grandview Yard parking garage?

That depends on the garage's clearance and on which level the car is parked. Tell the dispatcher the garage name or the nearest building. If our carrier cannot fit, the driver may be able to jump start the car where it sits or roll it to the exit with wheel dollies and load it outside. See parking garage towing for details.

My car is parallel parked on Grandview Avenue and won't start. What happens?

Before any loading, our driver tests whether a boost or a new battery fixes it, which is often the case with cars that sit at the curb. If the car must be towed, the truck pulls up alongside, and the winch draws the car onto the bed even if there is little room in front or behind. Hazard cones go out so passing traffic stays clear.

Do you help with fender-benders near the SR-315 and I-670 ramps?

Yes. If there is any injury or the cars are blocking lanes, call 911 first. Once police release the scene, call us and we will take the damaged car to your body shop, your insurer's preferred facility or our yard for storage until you decide. We keep the car on a flatbed the whole way, which protects damaged suspension parts.

Can you tow during a Bobcats football game at Anderson Field?

Yes, though the streets around the stadium are busy before and after games. If your car will not start, tell us the street name and the closest cross street. The driver may wait for the crowd to thin before loading so the truck does not block traffic. Lockouts and dead batteries are the usual game-night problems and are quick fixes.

What do you charge for a tow in Grandview Heights?

Because the city is so near our yard, the distance piece of the price is small. What changes the final amount is how far the car is going, when you call and whether the job needs extra work such as winching from a tight curb. You hear the complete number before we dispatch anyone, and our rates page explains each part of it.

Can you take a car from Grandview to a dealer across town?

Yes. Plenty of our Grandview customers have us haul their car to a dealer in Dublin, Easton or elsewhere in Columbus for warranty work. Let us know the dealer's name, and if the service lane is shut for the night, the car can sit in their drop area with their blessing or ride back to our yard until the morning.

Do you cover Marble Cliff and Upper Arlington as well?

Yes. Grandview Heights shares its school district with Marble Cliff, and Upper Arlington begins just north of Fifth Avenue. Our drivers move between all three constantly because they are so close together. If you are unsure which city your address is in, just give us the street and number and we will sort out the rest.
