Tow Service for Commercial Point and the Pickaway County Line

Commercial Point sits just over the Pickaway County line, a growing village where new subdivisions and warehouses surround a small old town center.

  • Open 24/7, 365 days
  • Flatbed-only fleet
  • Price quoted before dispatch
  • Licensed & insured

Commercial Point is roughly 9.4 miles due south of our yard, just across the line in Pickaway County. Our drivers head south through Grove City and past the I-71 corridor, then finish the trip on two-lane county roads that cross open farmland. Inside the village, SR-762 runs through the old center as Main Street before turning onto Scioto Street to leave town.

The village is changing quickly. Annexations along SR-104, the Foxfire subdivision and the Rickenbacker Exchange logistics park where SR-104 meets SR-762 have brought new streets and a lot more commuters. Calls here include cars stalled at those junctions, dead batteries in warehouse lots after a shift, and driveway jobs in newer neighborhoods such as Walker Point, where on-street parking can get crowded.

The original grid around Main, Front and Scioto streets is small and quiet, and easy for a carrier to work in. Country roads around the village can catch drivers out in winter, and a car in a ditch is a job for the carrier's winch. Whatever the job, the dispatcher settles the price before any carrier is sent out. Phone (614) 633-8163 or fill in our online request form with your street and what the car is doing.

Where calls come from

Roads we get called to in Commercial Point

  • SR-762 (Main Street and Scioto Street)

The state route through the old village; it follows Main Street, then exits along Scioto Street past the elementary school.

  • SR-104

The growth corridor, with annexed land and new warehouse traffic. It is busiest when shifts change at the industrial park.

  • SR-104 at SR-762

The junction anchoring the Rickenbacker Exchange park, where freight trucks and commuters share the same lanes.

  • Gibson Road

The site of a large annexation proposal; if building begins there, expect construction traffic.

  • Walker Pointe Drive and Adrian Court

Newer streets on the south side where the village has raised concerns about cars lining the curb. Tell us if the street is lined with cars.

  • Canterbury Road

Home of The Players Club at Foxfire, a quiet road where a car can be loaded without blocking traffic.

Big employers

Towing in Commercial Point: common questions

How far is Commercial Point from your Columbus yard?

In a straight line, about 9.4 miles south. By road our drivers run down through Grove City and out toward the county line, so the actual drive is a bit longer. Because the route crosses busy stretches near I-71, the dispatcher gives a live estimate based on traffic and on which truck is closest.

Do you tow in Pickaway County, or only in Franklin County?

Both. Commercial Point is in Pickaway County, and we serve it exactly as we serve towns in Franklin County: dispatch around the clock, flatbeds only, and a price you agree to up front. Crossing the county line does not change how we work or what you need to tell us. Just give the street address and, for a new subdivision, the nearest older road.

Can you reach the warehouses at Rickenbacker Exchange?

Yes. Give the dispatcher the building address and company name, and say whether a security gate stands between the truck and your car. Newer buildings in the park may not show up correctly in map apps yet, so a description of the entrance you used helps a lot. Mention the dock door or row number if you know it.

My street in Walker Point is lined with parked cars. Can a flatbed still get to mine?

Usually. The village has noted on-street parking problems in that neighborhood, so the driver may pull ahead, tilt the deck and winch your car out carefully. If a neighbor's car is blocking the way, asking them to move it before we arrive can save a lot of time. Driveway pickups are usually simpler than curbside ones here.

How busy is the SR-104 corridor for a roadside stop?

Busier every year. Annexations and new industrial buildings have added truck traffic, and the junction with SR-762 sees freight and commuters at the same hours. If you break down along SR-104, roll off the pavement if the car still moves and tell us the nearest cross road when you call.

Can you help if my car won't start after a round at Foxfire?

Yes. If the car is dead in the lot at The Players Club on Canterbury Road, the driver can try a jump or put on your spare if a tire is the problem. If a repair is in order, the car rides on the deck to the shop you pick, nearby or back in Columbus.

How do you price a Commercial Point tow?

The quote combines how far our truck travels to reach you, how far the car then rides, and anything unusual about the job. A car going north to a Columbus shop costs more than a move within the village, simply because it rides farther. You hear the full number before a truck is sent; see the rates page for how it is put together.

What about towns around Commercial Point?

We serve them too. Harrisburg lies to the west, Lockbourne is east along SR-762, and Grove City is north on the way back to our yard. Our trucks pass through all three regularly, so a car stuck between the village and any of them is well within range. Name the closest of the three when you call if you are on a rural road.

Do you go out for Christmas events at Central Park?

Yes. The village green between Front and Bellshazzar streets fills up for the December celebration, and nearby curbs go fast. If your car will not start afterward, tell the dispatcher which street you parked on and whether you are hemmed in, and the driver will plan the approach before arriving.
