Linden Towing on Cleveland Avenue and Beyond

A big, mostly residential part of the north side with a busy bus corridor down the middle. Our flatbeds come up I-71 and work every block of it, North and South Linden alike.

  • Open 24/7, 365 days
  • Flatbed-only fleet
  • Price quoted before dispatch
  • Licensed & insured

Linden covers a wide area east of I-71, starting around Eighth Avenue in the south and running north to Ferris and Cooke roads, with Westerville Road and Joyce Avenue along its eastern side. Hudson Street divides it into South Linden and North Linden. Cleveland Avenue runs straight through the middle, carrying the CMAX rapid bus line and most of the neighborhood's stores, churches and services. The new Linden Community Center opened on Briarwood Avenue in 2021, and the rebuilt library on Cleveland Avenue reopened in early 2026.

Most of Linden is single-family homes with driveways or street parking, and our work here reflects that. We tow cars from driveways to repair shops, jump batteries on cold mornings, unlock cars, change tires and haul away vehicles that have stopped running for good. Cleveland Avenue itself produces breakdowns in traffic, and a stalled car at a CMAX stop or in a narrow curb lane has to be moved quickly. We also work with property managers at apartment complexes who need private property towing.

Linden sits right along I-71, which makes it fairly direct for our drivers. From 1620 Harrisburg Pike, they take I-70 east and I-71 north to the 11th Avenue, 17th Avenue or Hudson Street exits, depending on where the car is. The dispatcher prices the tow before the truck leaves, so you know the cost up front. Call (614) 633-8163 or request service online.

Linden towing questions

My car broke down on Cleveland Avenue near a CMAX stop. What should I do?

Turn on your hazards and, if the car can roll and it is safe, move it out of the travel lane and away from the bus stop. Call us with the nearest cross street. CMAX buses run often, so a stalled car near a stop causes problems quickly, and police may ask that it be moved. Our driver will load it as fast as possible and take it wherever you want.

Can you haul away a car that has not run in years?

Yes. We tow non-running cars to scrap yards, salvage buyers or anyone you have sold the car to. You need the title or proof of ownership. Cars that have sat a long time may have flat tires or locked brakes, so the driver might need dollies or extra winching. Tell the dispatcher about the condition of the car. See junk car removal for more.

Do you work with apartment complexes in Linden?

Yes. We provide private property towing for apartment complexes and other properties under Ohio's towing law, which requires proper signs at the lot entrances and a written agreement with the property manager. We do not tow vehicles off private property for anyone except the owner or manager of that property. If you manage a property in Linden, call the office to set it up.

My car was towed from an apartment lot. Do you have it?

Only if your property manager has a towing agreement with us, and in that case the sign at the lot entrance will list our name and phone number. Many lots use other companies. Check the sign first. If the car was towed by the city, it went to the city impound lot. Our page on finding a towed car explains the steps.

How does your truck get to Linden?

Linden runs along the east side of I-71, which makes the trip from our yard fairly direct. The driver heads east on I-70, then north on I-71, and exits at 11th Avenue, 17th Avenue or Hudson Street, depending on where your car is. For North Linden, near Cooke and Ferris roads, the Cooke Road exit may be closer. The dispatcher gives you an estimate when you call.

Can you change a flat tire in my driveway?

Yes. If your car has a working spare and the lug nuts come off normally, the driver mounts it for the $75 roadside fee. If you only have a repair kit, the spare is flat, or the wheel-lock key has gone missing, the flatbed takes the car to a tire store instead. Let the dispatcher know what kind of spare you have, if you know.

What does a tow from Linden to a shop cost?

The cost depends on the loaded miles and time of day. Our card is $125 for hook-up, $7 per loaded mile and $4 per mile from our yard to you. Nights from 10 PM to 6 AM and weekends add surcharges, and veterans get 10% off with ID. You will hear the total before the truck leaves. More on our rates page.

Do you also serve the neighborhoods around Linden?

Yes. Linden borders Clintonville across I-71 to the west and Northland to the north, and it is a short trip to Sharon Woods and the University District. We cover all of Columbus and the surrounding suburbs with the same flatbeds and published rates. A tow that starts in Linden and ends at a dealer in Easton or a shop in Westerville is quoted the same way, by the loaded mile.

Can you help with a car that won't start at the Linden Community Center or a school lot?

Yes. The parking lots at the Linden Community Center on Briarwood Avenue, Linden-McKinley STEM Academy and Columbus Alternative High School all see dead batteries and lockouts, especially after evening games and events. Tell the dispatcher which building you are parked at. A jump or lockout is the flat $75 roadside rate. If the car needs a tow, the driver loads it there and takes it to your home or a shop.
