EV towing price questions
Why does an EV tow have its own estimate?
Electric cars are loaded in transport mode with no wheel on the road, which takes longer and needs extra care with low battery packs and underbody panels. That is why the hook-up is $150. The en-route rate is lower, at $2.50 per mile.
Can you tow my Tesla to a Supercharger?
Yes. If the car simply ran out of charge, the cheapest fix is often a short tow to the nearest fast charger. Give the dispatcher the charger location as your drop-off. See EV towing for what to do before we arrive.
Does the EV card apply to hybrids?
Plug-in hybrids and conventional hybrids are usually priced on the standard card unless the maker requires transport-mode loading. The dispatcher will tell you which card applies when you give the make and model.
